Short introduction
My name is Jana Mouchaimech and I am in the second year of my Master's in Mechanical Engineering, under the supervision of Professors Bianca Viggiano and Frédérick Gosselin. My thesis focuses on the characterization of soft coral dynamics to understand if their vortex-induced vibrations hold biological significance.
What method did you use to explain your thesis in 3 minutes?
I pretended I was explaining it to my younger siblings and got their feedback on how much they understood my topic. I also pretended I was writing an abstract, but less formal, to keep it short!
How was your research topic inspired?
From observations made by my supervisor on a diving trip!
If you could dedicate your research to someone (past, present, or future), who would it be and why?
To my grandparents, for always valuing my education and pushing me to pursue it as far as I can.
