Every student at Polytechnique Montréal must provide the documents required to confirm their identity, their legal status in Canada, and their Quebec residency status no later than the course selection and course change deadline of the academic calendar.
This information is necessary to determine the appropriate tuition fees as well as for the assignment of a permanent code by the Quebec Ministry of Education.
You do not need to provide anything if you are continuing your studies from a Cégep or if you have undertaken collegiate studies in Quebec and have included your permanent code in your admission application; we will obtain your documents from the Quebec Ministry of Education (if needed, we will request them from you). Otherwise, please provide a copy of: your birth certificate issued by the Registrar of Civil Status including the mention of your parents' first names and last names.

- your Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) AND your Study Permit (SP) for Canada An official or certified translation in French or English is required for any document not written in these two languages. Under penalty of deregistration, an international student must have valid documents, from the first to the last day of each term in which they are enrolled and present on Quebec territory, in order to maintain their student record in good standing with the Ministry of Education and maintain a legal status in Canada.
French students must submit a valid French passport to establish tuition fees.
